Bauer Media Holding Ltd acquired Basso Media Ltd in April 2020. Through the acquisition, Bauer Media expanded its channel family and strengthened its position in the commercial radio business. Basso continues to operate as an independent company as part of Bauer Media.
We acted as the financial advisor to the seller, i.e. Basso Media and its owners, in the transaction.
Basso Media Ltd is a Finnish media company founded in 2004. The radio channel was originally founded as a student project and the channel mainly plays hip hop music popular amongst young adults. Through the acquisition, Basso Media has been owned by Bauer Media since April 2020.
